Pleasant Valley Offers Nature Programs at the New Greylock Glen Outdoor Center
November 15, 2024
The Greylock Glen Outdoor Center in Adams, MA, opened to the public on October 11, with Mass Audubon serving as the official Educational Provider for the property.
About the Center
This brand new 9,000-square-foot, net-zero building connects visitors to a vast network of multi-use trails surrounding Mount Greylock, Massachusetts' highest peak.
It includes an exhibit hall, common area, food service area, and multipurpose program space. The doors outside lead directly into the gravel-paved and gently sloping Glen Meadow Loop trail, which passes through a mix of young forests, wetlands, and meadows with spectacular views of Mount Greylock.
The Outdoor Center is open for free to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Educational Opportunities
The Town of Adams appointed Mass Audubon to be the sole provider of environmental education programs. This includes an array of free and fee-based program offerings for adults and families, school programs, guest presentations and workshops, and more.
