Wildwood Staff
Work With Us
Wildwood hires enthusiastic, fun, and mature adults who care about the safety and well-being of our campers, each other, and the natural environment.
Counselors-in-Training (CIT)
CITs develop leadership skills, learn how to work with children, and share their love and knowledge of nature with younger campers.
At Wildwood, our staff is a diverse community of talented and caring individuals. We seek enthusiastic, fun, and mature adults who care about the safety and well-being of our campers, each other, and nature.
Our camp staff includes educators, naturalists, and college students from the U.S. and around the world who bring the Wildwood program to life through their creativity. Staff work to create a positive community and ensure each camper has a safe and rewarding camp experience.
Experience & Credentials
All staff undergo a thorough interview process, reference and background checks, are CPR and first aid certified, and receive training in child development, natural history, environmental education best practices, and health and safety procedures.
Camp staff hold additional activity-specific certifications such as lifeguarding, archery, boating, ropes course, and Wilderness First Aid. We have licensed health care staff on site including a Registered Nurse who is onsite daily, along with access to an on-call pediatric practice at nearby Monadnock Community Hospital.
Camp Director
Ashley Ukleja (she/her) is thrilled to join the community at Wildwood and immerse herself in an overnight camp experience centered on nature. For the last three-and-a-half years she’s worked as a camp director at a children’s museum in the California Bay Area. Ashley loves the spirit of camp: the unplanned moments, the connections, the culture and the memories. She believes campers and staff both benefit from the camp experience, and she loves being a part of that.
Outside of work, you can find her reading, crafting, and spending time with her two dogs.
