Oak Knoll Nature Camp

After an enormous amount of discussion and careful consideration, we made the unbelievably hard decision to close Oak Knoll Nature Camp in Attleboro.

This decision was not made lightly. We know full well that hundreds of children have benefited from this summer camp program, and we have a deep appreciation for those campers, their wonderful families, and our caring camp staff who have created countless special memories together over the years.

The spirit of Oak Knoll Nature Camp will live on through our dedicated staff. While the physical camp is closing, our staff remain committed to their work within the community. They will continue to organize and participate in various community programs, ensuring that the positive and enriching experiences that Oak Knoll Nature Camp provided will continue to benefit the community.

This decision was made after much internal examination and some very tough choices regarding how to allocate resources across the entire organization. Mass Audubon serves the entire state, and our mission is to determine how we can most effectively protect the nature of Massachusetts as a whole. Part of this reassessment will include new summer programs at Oak Knoll that kids can learn from and enjoy. We’ll have more information on those programs as they become available.

In the meantime, here is a list of other local summer camps that families can consider as alternatives:
