Programs for Groups at Broadmoor
Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary offers a variety of fun and educational nature-based programs for community groups, college students, scout troops, homeschool, afterschool, and more.
Adult Community Groups
Our group programs are great for senior centers, garden clubs, library groups, and more, and can be tailored to fit a specific interest or setting. In addition to guided hikes, we also offer:
- Natural history lectures
- Photography & art programs
- Birding trips around Massachusetts
Young Adult/College Groups
Broadmoor offers a wide range of environmental-based programs both on and off-site. We can also design custom programs for your group!
Afterschool
Broadmoor offers afterschool programs for grades Pre-K and up at your location. You can pick from a group of theme-based nature programs, or we can design a custom program for you. Programs may be scheduled weekday afternoons.
Homeschool Programs
Customized lessons or a series of lessons are available to interested home school groups. Programs will encourage children to interact with the environment through nature exploration, games and science-based learning. Group building activities to boost social interaction can be included.
Students should anticipate spending the majority of time outside on the wildlife sanctuary. Extension activities can be recommended after each lesson to help further participant learning and to share with their families.
Preschool Programs
Broadmoor teacher naturalists are available to visit preschools, providing wonderful learning opportunities for your students. The programs are a mix of hands-on activities, experiments, songs, demonstrations, stories, and nature walks. Our programs are specially designed to strengthen listening and observation skills while teaching students about the natural world.
