Wild Side of the Suburbs: The Art of Paula Pitman Brown on Exhibit at Broadmoor

December 20, 2024

On Display January 3-February 28, 2025

Mass Audubon’s Broadmoor in Natick will feature the captivating oil paintings of acclaimed artist Paula Pitman Brown. Paula’s work combines anatomical mastery of local wildlife with boldly saturated depictions of human development to expertly convey the merging of these two worlds, which are often at odds to reconcile with each other.

About the Exhibition

Artist's Statement

Our sleepy, complacent streets are more than meet the eye. On my many walks throughout the day, I often encounter many animals. I am always exhilarated when I see them. I marvel at their beauty and adaptability. I hope that my paintings help remind people how important co-existence is between us suburbanites and our wild neighbors.
