About the Artist

Cheryl Rose, from Hopkinton, MA, has been a nature photographer for over 50 years.
This is her seventh exhibit at Broadmoor. All her shows have featured New England wildlife, mostly taken close to home. She has found that if you look closely, you will usually find something interesting.

She always takes her camera with her while walking. Sometimes a movement or something illuminated by the sun will alert her to a subject. Other times, scanning the area with close-focusing binoculars will show her something not previously seen.

In 2019, she was awarded first place in the plants category and in 2017, she was awarded Honorable Mention in the landscapes category. In 2014, she received second place, “Other Wildlife” in the National Wildlife Federation’s annual photo contest. Her photos have been published in many issues of Mass Audubon's Explore magazine, as well as other publications.

In the Nature Center at Broadmoor: 280 Eliot Street, Natick, MA. Open 9:00 am-4:00 pm, Tuesday through Sunday and Monday holidays.
