Beneficial Insects

At your school, head outside to search for insect habitats. Observe and learn how insects help plants by spreading pollen, eating pests, and breaking down materials in the soil. On a field trip, look for insects that help plants in the fields, forests, and gardens. Observe how they use their bodies and investigate why insects pollinate flowers, eat plant pests, and break down materials in the soil that plants need to grow.
