Coastal Ecosystems
Choice of topics: Salt Marshes, Horseshoe Crabs, Shorebirds, or Migratory Mapping Horseshoe crabs and shorebirds and mollusks, oh my!
Investigate our coastal ecosystems to discover how a wide variety of creatures are able to survive in these ever-changing habitats. The program focuses on adaptations, life cycles, migration, and food webs. Some topics also provide an opportunity to learn about human impacts on wildlife and ecosystems and introduce students to some of the ways those impacts can be mitigated.
