Maple Trees and Tastes
At Drumlin Farm, meet a maple tree in our sugarbush. Use your senses to feel bark, see leaves, smell and taste maple sap and syrup samples. Act out the parts of a tree to learn how sap is made and stored inside. Then, explore the tools we use to collect the sap and change it to maple syrup.
At your school, explore tools used in collecting sap, identify maple leaves, act out the parts of a tree, and taste samples of sap and syrup.
