Wildwood Camp: Teen Adventure Trip - Cape Cod Connection
Description
Visit some of New England's premier coastal destinations on this trip to Cape Cod. We'll kayak in Barnstable Bay, explore the beaches and dunes of the National Seashore, and bike the famous Province Land's Trails and Cape Cod Rail Trail. We'll stay at Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, participate in hands-on conservation science, and explore the surrounding marshes, beaches, and woodlands.
This itinerary includes cycling and swimming; participants should already be comfortable on a bicycle.
Teen Adventure Trips focus on developing a love of the outdoors. Trips begin with a half-day of team-building and orientation at Wildwood Camp. Groups then travel to destinations around the Northeast. Along the way, they'll participate in a variety of outdoor adventures, learn the basics of Leave No Trace camping and trekking, and meet with conservation professionals to participate in hands on environmental study or service. Groups are small and co-ed, with two leaders and between 5-9 teens. Participants practice hands-on skills in conservation and outdoor living, and develop knowledge of the region's natural history.
