Exploring Coastal Cape Cod: Hatches Harbor

Description

The ever-changing coastline of Cape Cod is vibrant, diverse, and dynamic. Barrier beaches, salt marshes, tidal flats, coastal heathlands, and maritime forests are just some of the incredible systems we will explore in this series of hikes that celebrate these unique and essential habitats dotting our coastline.

Traverse the expansive dunes of the Provincelands as we hike towards the Race Point light in search of whales, seals, sea ducks, alcids, and more! This hike is 4mi in length, and portions include walking on soft sand.

During the program, we make stops to enjoy birds, other wildlife, and the area's unique cultural history. We will also take water breaks and stop for lunch.

Checking registration status.
