In Search of Winter Waterfowl - Freshwater Habitats

Description

Think winter is a slow time for birds on Cape Cod? Think again! Ducks, loons, and grebes are plentiful on open water throughout the winter and early spring. Join a Wellfleet Bay naturalist for up-close studies of winter waterfowl at various locations on the Outer Cape. Bring binoculars. Be prepared to caravan from the meeting location.

This program meets at Herring Pond, Eastham (460 Herring Brook Road, Eastham, MA). Be prepared to travel to other nearby sites from the meeting location.

Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring binoculars. Please arrive and check-in 10 minutes before the start of the program.
