Description
Dive into the bizarre and fascinating world of pond life here in Massachusetts. A variety of wetlands occur at Wachusett Meadow and they support abundant wildlife. We'll search for hidden dragonfly nymphs, aquatic salamanders, zipping whirligig beetles, giant water bugs, an array of frogs, and hopefully the elusive water scorpion. Hiking to the pond involves navigating over uneven terrain of up to half a mile.
