Description
Join the South East region staff as we search for American Woodcocks. As the sun sets, we will witness the twisting and turning courtship ritual of the 'timberdoodle' as he calls and performs his dance before launching into the air in a spiral flight with a dramatic whistling return to the ground.

Please meet in Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary's Parking Lot - 60 Beaver Dam Road, Plymouth, MA 02360
This program will take place entirely outdoors, please come prepared for a walk and wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate layers.
Directions to Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary
From the North:
Take MA-3 S to Exit 12 for Plimoth Plantation Hwy in Plymouth. Follow Plimoth Plantation Hwy for 1.7 miles until it turns into MA-3A S. Continue on MA-3A S for 2.5 miles and turn right onto Beaver Dam Road. The parking lot at 60 Beaver Dam Road will be about 0.6 miles down on the left.
From the South:
Take Exit 7 (formerly Exit 3) from MA-3 N. Turn right onto Clark Road. In 0.7 miles, Clark Road becomes Beaver Dam Road. The parking lot at 60 Beaver Dam Road is 2.5 miles down on the right.
From the West:
Take I-495 S to US-44 E. In about 15 miles, take the exit onto MA-3 S/US-44 E toward Cape Cod. Continue onto MA-3 S. Follow directions "From the North."
