Native Plant Walk

Description

Join Mass Audubon for a short walk around Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary to examine how plant life supports the wildlife community even in the winter months. We will discuss landscaping for nature and how restoration efforts can revitalize a landscape.

We will meet in the Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary Parking Lot at 60 Beaver Dam Road, Plymouth, MA 02360.

This program will take place entirely outdoors, please come prepared for a walk and wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate layers. Our walk will be mostly flat along a wide trail with a few moderate inclines.

Directions to Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary

From the North:

Take MA-3 S to Exit 12 for Plimoth Plantation Hwy in Plymouth. Follow Plimoth Plantation Hwy for 1.7 miles until it turns into MA-3A S. Continue on MA-3A S for 2.5 miles and turn right onto Beaver Dam Road. The parking lot at 60 Beaver Dam Road will be about 0.6 miles down on the left.

From the South:

Take Exit 7 (formerly Exit 3) from MA-3 N. Turn right onto Clark Road. In 0.7 miles, Clark Road becomes Beaver Dam Road. The parking lot at 60 Beaver Dam Road is 2.5 miles down on the right.

From the West:

Take I-495 S to US-44 E. In about 15 miles, take the exit onto MA-3 S/US-44 E toward Cape Cod. Continue onto MA-3 S. Follow directions "From the North."
