Description
Cranberries are one of only three cultivated native fruits found in the US. This tart berry was a dietary staple of indigenous peoples and its cultivation played an important role in our local history. We will look at the dynamics of cranberry bogs and discover the wildlife that inhabit them and the surrounding wetlands. From insect-eating Pitcher plants to the secretive life of the American Bittern, we will wade through it all.
