Description
Every autumn millions of hawks migrate south, providing the best opportunities to see them in flight. However, identifying soaring hawks at a distance is very different from seeing them perched or close-up in photos. This online presentation will introduce the most commonly seen hawks in New England and offer tips to help you recognize them from a distance. Next time you venture out, you'll know where and when to look for hawks, and how to identify what you find.
This standalone program is part of the online Birds of Summer Series. Register for the full series before it starts on 7/24/25 to get all 4 sessions (7/24 Boreal Breeding Specialties; 8/7 Shorebird Migration; 8/21: Feeding Adaptations; 9/4: Identifying Hawks in Flight) for the price of 3. To join the series after it starts and receive recordings of the session(s) you missed, email [email protected].
