Birdwatching Basics: Interpreting Behavior

Description

Why do birds fuss with their feathers so much? Are those two birds fighting or courting? Why are some birds more comfortable feeding on the ground while others feed flying? Bird behaviors can be quirky, surprising, and sometimes confusing. From flight to feeding, you'll learn how to interpret some of the most common behaviors. Once you tackle these basics, the value of your birdwatching transforms from admiring their beauty to appreciating their complex lives.

This standalone program is part of the online Birdwatching Basics Series.
