Birdwatching Basics: Fundamentals

Description

Birdwatching is a unique hobby as it can be done in almost any setting-from backyards to cityscapes, forests to coasts, within Massachusetts and beyond. In this online program, you'll learn from a Mass Audubon expert about the ethics, history, classification, and basics of birdwatching, so you too can responsibly join one of the fastest-growing hobbies in North America. In addition, we'll discuss helpful birdwatching tools, from binoculars and scopes to field guides and apps.

This standalone program is part of the online Birdwatching Basics Series. Register for the full series before it starts on 3/27/25 to get all 4 sessions (3/27 Fundamentals of Birdwatching; 4/3 Spring Bird Activity; 4/10 Interpreting Bird Behavior; 4/17 Birdsong 101) for the price of 3. To join the series after it starts and receive recordings of the session(s) you missed, email [email protected].
