Description
You've started to notice more closely the familiar and intriguing birds in your backyard, on your commute, or outside your window-now you want to know more. This online series will introduce you to the birdwatching basics, from how to identify different bird families to the various tools and resources at your disposal. Find out what makes birds unique in the animal kingdom; where and how to locate birds in urban, suburban, and rural communities; and learn about basic bird biology and behavior from the experts at Mass Audubon so you can join one of the fastest growing hobbies in North America.
This online series includes optional, self-directed birdwatching exercises suggested in between topics each week.
Each Birdwatching Basics session stands alone, but if you register for the full series before it starts on 3/27/25 you get all 4 sessions listed below for the price of 3. To join the series after it starts and receive recordings of the session(s) you missed, email [email protected].
