Winter Birding: Ducks, Geese, and Other Coastal Birds

Description

Winter is the best time to view the more than 25 species of ducks, geese, loons, and grebes found in New England. Familiarize yourself with their exquisite plumage from the comfort of your home before heading out in the field. We'll introduce our local waterbirds, examine similarities and differences between them, and share the best places to find them. Learn how useful patterns of contrast can be used to identify both individual birds and distant flocks.

This standalone program is part of the online Winter Birding Series. Register for the full series before it starts on 1/23/25 to get all 6 sessions (1/23 Raptors; 1/30 Flocks & Roosts; 2/6 The Joys of Bird Feeding; 2/13 Love is in the Air; 2/27 New England Birding Highlights; 3/6 Ducks, Geese, & Other Coastal Birds) for the price of 5.
