Description
Even with a total area of 71,988 square miles, New England is a relatively small geographic region. But its diverse habitats, including mountains, woodlands, farmland, cities, and 6,130 miles of coastline, create plenty of opportunities for birds to thrive. Take a virtual road trip to each New England state and explore some of the remarkable species that favor the Northeast. Discover what locations are best for finding the region's iconic birds, learn how they relate to their habitats, and gain an understanding of how their geographic ranges are shifting as the climate changes. You may even be inspired to hit the road on your own tour along our suggested route.
