Winter Birding: Raptors

Description

The word raptor refers to a bird that 'seizes,' or grabs its food. Birds of prey like Bald Eagles, Snowy Owls, Peregrine Falcons, and Rough-legged Hawks are just a few raptors that take up residence on New England's coast every winter. Find out why they choose to winter on the beach, where to view them, and how to confidently identify them alongside our year-round resident raptors.

This standalone program is part of the online Winter Birding Series. Register for the full series before it starts on 1/23/25 to get all 6 sessions (1/23 Raptors; 1/30 Flocks & Roosts; 2/6 The Joys of Bird Feeding; 2/13 Love is in the Air; 2/27 New England Birding Highlights; 3/6 Ducks, Geese, & Other Coastal Birds) for the price of 5.
