Description
With its mild temperatures and spectacular scenery, fall is a wonderful time to be outdoors looking for birds. As you'll find out in this online series, there is plenty to see! First, unravel the marvel and mystery of fall migration, followed by an overview of avian anatomy and physiology. Then, explore birdlife in our critical salt marsh habitats. Finish with a closer look at irruptions - when rare-to-New-England birds flock in from the north in large numbers in search of food.
Each Autumn Avians session stands alone, but if you register for the full series before it starts on 10/10/24 you get all 4 sessions listed below for the price of 3.
October 10: Migration Mysteries
October 24: Anatomy & Physiology
November 7: Birds of the Salt Marsh
November 21: Sudden Population Surges
