Description
Celebrate the arrival of the New Year through the pages of a nature journal. Deeply connect to the natural world this February by learning more about, looking closely at and drawing majestic owls at The Nest. This workshop will focus on Barred, Great Horned, and Screech Owls.
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn about the fascinating lives of owls, including unique insights into the nesting pair of Great Horned Owls and their 8 owlets that have called the sanctuary home over the past two years. This program will include tips and techniques for enhancing your winter nature journaling practice and drawing owls. You will have the opportunity to examine owl feathers, wings, and replica skulls up close while learning about their unique adaptations and behaviors. You are welcome to bring your favorite natural journaling and art materials, but all art materials will be provided.

Please park in the gravel parking lot by the large yellow barn and walk along the paved pathway in front of the yellow barn, two smaller buildings, and turn left onto the brick pathway which will lead you to the entrance to the Nest. All Materials Provided.
