Floral Impressions: Wildflower Ceramic Tile Workshop
Description
Immerse yourself in the world of ceramics and native flowers in this unique pottery workshop. In this creative and engaging three-week ceramic tile workshop, you will craft a set of three hanging tiles, each tile with their unique surface and relief decoration using locally sourced flowers, plants, and other natural materials. Workshop participants will learn slab building techniques, explore texture, learn sculpting and carving techniques, and experiment with surface decoration using natural materials to create floral and natural designs on clay.
Workshop Overview
Week 1: Create your set of tiles, experiment with surface and relief ornamentation.
Week 2: Glaze tiles and design frames for tiles.
Week 3: Pick up and frame tiles. Enjoy a guided nature hike at the wildlife sanctuary learning more about wildflowers, shrubs, and trees

Please park in the gravel parking lot by the large yellow barn and walk along the paved pathway in front of the yellow barn, two smaller buildings, and turn left onto the brick pathway which will lead you to the entrance to the Nest. All materials are provided.
