Description
Spring is here, and it's the perfect time to highlight our native Atlantic Horseshoe Crab, a species that dates back 400-million years but faces serious challenges today from habitat loss and growing pressure from human uses.
Learn more about ongoing research efforts to protect and understand this incredible species. We'll search for horseshoe crabs coming up on the beach to spawn and talk about their behavior, biology, conservation, and management. We'll also discuss and participant in Mass Audubon's horseshoe crab research, including our monitoring and tagging programs.
