The Enchanted Forest

Description

For the Friday evening before Halloween, the woodlands will awaken. A guide will lead you along a lantern - lit trail where you will encounter creatures of the night - some strange, some silly, and some who have much to say.

Tours are roughly one hour in length. Warm clothing, sturdy shoes and a flashlight are recommended. Costumes (that are easy to hike in!) are encouraged.

We recommend this program for children ages 3 through 12, but everyone is welcome. There is no charge for Children 0-2.

This year the tour will follow our new All Persons Trail. The trail is fairly level, surfaced with crushed gravel and boardwalks, and suitable for most mobility devices including wheelchairs. No bikes, roller skates, or scooters please. More details on the physical nature of the trail are available at Accessibility at Long Pasture (massaudubon.org). Please reach out to us in advance for any assistance or questions with accessibility. This is an evening program, and the trails are not lit.

Please select an available start time for your tour. Tours leave every 10 minutes and have a max. participation number of 15.

*In order to make your scheduled tour please plan to arrive at Long Pasture for check in at least 15 minutes prior to your tour time. The walk from the parking area to the Discovery Center can take up to 5 minutes with small children. We cannot guarantee you a spot on another tour if you arrive after your start time.
