Description
Skinner State Park sits within the Mount Holyoke range, and is home to a variety of birds. Early June is peak nesting season; when migratory songbirds will be singing territorial songs and showing bright breeding colors. Along an auto road, we'll stop and take short walks while looking for target birds, including Cerulean and Worm-eating warblers. On our way back to Joppa Flats, we'll stop into Westover Airforce Base and look for grassland specialists - such as Grasshopper Sparrow and Upland Sandpiper.
