Introduction to Education Volunteering: Joppa Flats Bird Banding Station

Take your first step toward becoming a Joppa Flats education volunteer with any of the three offered programs that take place on Tuesday mornings. Our education volunteers help staff and field teachers present programs to schools, groups, and families throughout the school year in a wide variety of environments. These programs are free to Mass Audubon members and nonmembers can register and pay a one-time membership fee of $70.00.

Our bird banding team collects data from live migratory birds using unique field equipment and during this program we will see the entire operation first hand.
