Description
On the first warm rainy night of spring, wood frogs and salamanders begin a mass migration to the vernal pools where they breed. This mass migration is referred to as "Big Night!"
Begin in the barn with "Big Night" themed kids activies along with popcorn and hot chocolate followed by a guided walk along the Vernal Pool Trail. Meet some larger-than-life characters who will share interesting facts and stories about themselves, vernal pools, and this special time of year. The trail will lead to a real vernal pool where more animals and their eggs may be seen. Don't miss this exciting educational night of family fun!
