Description
Red-tailed hawks have keen eyes and curious minds, and can soar longer distances. Our Red-tailed Hawk group is the name for our homeschool class for students ages 6-8 years old. Our classes introduce homeschool students to basic ecology while nurturing an appreciation for and understanding of the natural world.
This season each group will explore the many ecosystems of the Sanctuary from fields, to forests, to wetlands. How are these wild places the same or different? What plants and animals are waiting to be found in each? Through hikes, hands-on activities, and up-close observation of live animals, we will investigate the cycles and connections that these places share and also what makes them so wonderfully unique.
