Description
The concentration of ducks - migrating and resident - can reach peak numbers in Rhode Island. This trip will expand your appreciation for ducks and provide an opportunity to practice your ID skills. With the potential to find over 20 species, we can appreciate the variety of plumage, behavior, and shapes they exhibit as well as the habitats they frequent. We will explore ponds, coves, the Barrington River, and Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge scanning for waterfowl everywhere we go; including breathtaking flocks of Harlequin Ducks.
This program is also open to teens ages 14 and older with an adult.
