Birding Great Bay and the New Hampshire Coast

Description

Come explore a hidden birding gem! We'll start with the expansive Great Bay, an area in New Hampshire with 5,000 acres of tidal water, birding at the top two locations: Sandy Point and Adam's Point. We will view large numbers of geese and ducks, some early Bald Eagles, and a variety of passerines. We'll look for birds on the coast, from the mouth of the Piscataqua River in New Castle to Odiorne Point State Park in Rye, known for its hawk migration and migrating passerines. As we follow the coastline down to Salisbury, Massachusetts, we’ll stop at various vantage points to look for sea ducks, Snow Bunting, larks, and shorebirds. If time permits, we will bird the Salisbury Beach area.
