Making Mead

Description

Straight from hive to bottle! Learn how to make mead, an ancient wine made from honey, in this hands-on workshop with Drumlin Beekeeper, Mel Gadd. We'll cover the history of this fascinating beverage, ingredient selection, and the steps to creating delicious mead. Taste a variety of honey and meads, and bring home your own bottle of mead.

Mel Gadd is Mass Audubon's Beekeeper who has been involved with the Essex County Beekeepers Association (ECBA) for over 16 years.

Open only to adults age 21 and older.
