Birding Bristol County

Come explore the scenic Westport and Fairhaven area, which has become a hotspot for rarities. The milder climate, extensive farm fields abutting the ocean, and expansive wetlands provide a diversity of habitats for a wide range of wintering species. On this trip, we will explore a number of the habitats in the area - thickets for chats, fields for Eastern Meadowlark and sparrows, Cockeast Pond for a variety of ducks, the Westport River for eagles, and West Island for shorebirds. Lunch, not included in the fee, will be at a heated restaurant.
