Woodcock Walk at Fowl Meadows

Description

Walk through the woods and wetlands of Fowl Meadows in the evening, where we will search for American Woodcocks. They are very famous due to their strange walk, calls, and especially for their sky dance! We will discuss woodcock habits, preferences, and how they fit into the forest ecosystem.

Instructions

We will park at the intersection of Neponset Valley Parkway and Brush Hill Rd. in Milton (put Burma Trail Parking in GPS). We will send out an email close to the walk date with more information. Dress warmly and bring binoculars!

This program will be held outdoors, so please bring rain and cold weather gear as needed. In the case of inclement weather, every effort will be made to reschedule the event.
