Description
Let's explore Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge in Concord! We'll look for ducks, rails, bittern, Bald Eagles, and later spring migrants. Great Meadows is a fantastic birding destination in any season.
If you are interested, we can meet at Boston Nature Center (BNC) and carpool from there at 7:15am sharp. At BNC, you can decide to carpool with others, or there is the option of using the Mass Audubon van (7 people max). If you decide to meet us there, we will park in the lot off of Monsen Rd. in Concord (the larger lot at the end of the road, not the smaller one near the bathrooms). You will receive an email closer to the walk date with more information and to verify if you are carpooling or meeting there. Dress warmly and bring binoculars!
This program will be held outdoors, so please bring rain and cold weather gear as needed. In the case of inclement weather, every effort will be made to reschedule the event.
This program is free if you are a member of Dot Rx. Please email [email protected] to register.
