Camp BNC: Mattapan - Nature Camp

Description

Whether hiking in the woods, bird watching at the overlook, or digging in the garden, campers at the Boston Nature Center have fun while learning about nature. Every day children discover the world around them through an engaging nature-inspired curriculum and in a safe, inclusive camp community. Join us for a unique camp experience that combines high-quality science education with the traditions of summer camp that will help your child build a life-long connection to the outdoors!

Campers ages 5 to 13 are placed in small age groups: Owls (age 5-6), Hawks (age 6-7), Falcons (age 7-9) Ravens (age 9- 11), Adventurers (age 11-13), Environmental Teen Leaders (ages 13-15). Each camper has its own unique weekly curriculum based on a nature theme and science practices. The weekly themes are explored through a combination of the following activities: observations, investigations, group projects, nature journals, walks on the trails, art activities, related group games, songs, and more.
