April Vacation Week - Younger Campers

Description

April Vacation Week combines all the great elements of a day camp with the unique opportunities of a spring nature program. Join us as we discover a world full of bold colors, complex designs and surprising creatures though science, art and thoughtful play activities. Every day we will discover the world around us through an engaging nature-inspired curriculum and in a safe, inclusive camp community.

Owls (age 5-6), Hawks (age 6-7), Falcons (age 7-9) each have their own curriculum that is age appropriate and based on the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework. The theme is explored through a combination of the following activities: observations, investigations, group projects, nature journals, walks on the trails, art activities, related group games, songs, and more.

Every day we are outdoors, playing in the Nature Nook, building forts, and going for walks on a beautiful 67 acre wildlife sanctuary. Time spent outdoors is a valuable and integral part of the April Vacation Week program. For the best learning experience it's important that each child is dressed for the weather.
