Description
Unleash your creativity and breathe new life into discarded words by crafting found poetry! This exciting workshop invites you to transform preexisting texts into fresh, vibrant poems by cutting, rearranging, and manipulating language.
We'll kick off with inspiring examples of found poems to spark your imagination. Then, it’s your turn to dive in! Using materials that would otherwise be tossed aside, you’ll have the chance to create unique pieces.
We’ll provide some supplies, but feel free to bring along anything you’d like to use-newspapers, magazines, old books, appliance manuals, product packaging-anything with words is fair game!
Join us for a fun and dynamic exploration of language, where you can express yourself and discover the poetry hidden in everyday materials!
This workshop is open to writers of any experience level!
This program is free for our Dot Rx members. Please email [email protected] to register.
