Description
The Arcadia Meadows, also known as the West Meadows, are filled with activity in the springtime. The fields, managed for grassland birds, are home to Bobolinks, who return around this time of year. Eastern Bluebirds and Tree Swallows can be seen around the nest boxes or looking for food. A pair of Bald Eagles have nested in the meadows for over a decade. We will take a leisurely walk to the meadows to view the eagles' nest and to look for other birds. Along the way, we will talk about the importance of the habitat management and restoration projects in the areas we pass.
