Bird Walk at the Fort River Trail

Description

The Fort River Trail in the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge in Hadley is a little over a mile in length. Its flat, crushed rock surface is wheelchair accessible and winds through varying habitats with frequent access to benches and shelters. Join naturalist John Green for a leisurely walk looking for fall sparrows and other songbirds in the trailside shrubs and trees; ducks in the Fort River; and hawks soaring over the open fields.
