Description

Join Wareham Land Trust and Mass Audubon for Great Walks at Great Neck!

The sanctuary's mix of pine forest and salt marshes are priority habitats for threatened species. During this 90-minute naturalist-led walk, hear about recent habitat restoration efforts including planting native grasses, wildflowers, shrubs and trees to better support wildlife and mitigate the impact of climate change.

These guided walks are geared towards adults, are up to 2 miles in length and are slow to moderate paced. Be prepared for possible damp and uneven terrain and be mindful that ticks are present. Thank you for leaving pets at home. Severe weather cancels. Bring binoculars if you have them.
