Teen Programs
The ages between 13 and 17 are a critical time for teenagers, when they start to develop passions for causes and ideals greater than themselves. This is the time for young people to gain an environmental ethic that will last a lifetime.
Mass Audubon offers teens the opportunity to contribute to these causes while building friendships around common interests.
Youth Climate Leadership
Mass Audubon's Youth Climate Leadership Program (YCLP) is a youth-led, action-oriented climate change program that builds climate literacy, meaningful and hopeful connections, and equitable community climate solutions.
In partnership with local schools, nonprofits, research institutions, and universities, the YCLP connects youth changemakers with experts and mentors to guide them in planning and implementing innovative climate action in local schools and communities. Learn more about YCLP
Teen Conservation Clubs
Teenagers looking for a place to help build and strengthen a strong environmental ethic can get real conservation experience by participating in the North Shore Teen Naturalist Club Mass Audubon's Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary.
As part of this group, teens ages 13-18 learn about the challenges of environmental conservation, education, and advocacy and are empowered to take part in real science and conservation work that focuses on issues they care about. Learn more about the North Shore Teen Naturalist Club
Teen Adventure Trips
Wildwood Teen Adventure Trips immerse campers ages 14–17 in the natural wonders of the Northeast’s most beautiful areas. All trips focus on developing a love of the outdoors, but each trip takes a unique approach. A wide variety of trip options accommodate many interests and levels of outdoor experience.
