Cape Cod Bird Sightings — Tuesday, February 11, 2025
Cape Cod Weekly Wildlife Sightings is sponsored by the Bird Watchers General Store in Orleans and Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. The following sightings were reported between February 5 and February 11, 2025.
A female Tufted Duck was found on Long Pond in Harwich on Tuesday.
The Spotted Towhee continued at the Provincetown Airport this week.
Birds at Race Point in Provincetown this week included a Pacific Loon, 37 Razorbills, a Dovekie, 4 Common Murres, 17 Iceland Gulls, 2 Common Ravens, and 65 Snow Buntings.
At West Dennis Beach, birds reported this week included a Greater Yellowlegs, a Lesser Black-backed Gull, and 2 American Pipits.
Other sightings around the Cape included a Marsh Wren in Mashpee, 3 Killdeer and an American Pipit in Hyannisport, 4 Baltimore Orioles yard in Cummaquid and a single bird elsewhere in Barnstable, single Orange-crowned Warblers two different places in Centerville, an Eastern Phoebe in Yarmouth, 150 Red-winged Blackbirds in Harwich Port, and 2 Wood Ducks in Orleans.
