Snowshoe Rentals at Wachusett Meadow

Snowshoes are available for rental during winter months on a first-come, first-served basis and can be used on any of the sanctuary trails whenever there is 6 inches of snow or more. 

Snowshoes cannot be reserved; please call ahead to check on availability.

Cost & Rental Hours

Members, $6/hour • Nonmembers, $10/hour

  • Snowshoe rentals are available Tuesday–Sunday & Monday holidays.
  • Minimum rental period is one hour.

Rules & Restrictions

  • Snowshoes may be rented only for use on Wachusett Meadow’s sanctuary grounds and trails.
  • At least one 18-year-old participant with signed rental form is required for each rental.
  • For the safety of all participants and the protection of wildlife and habitat, posted regulations are strictly enforced.
