Foot it for Felix: 5K Trail Run & Walk at Felix Neck

Special Event: Saturday, August 31, 2024

Put one foot in front of the other to support nature conservation and education! Run, walk, fly, crawl, or slither to Felix Neck to join this once-a-year sanctuary sprint.

Foot it for Felix was originally held as a walkathon in 1971 to raise funds to build a house for Felix Neck’s first Sanctuary Director Gus Ben David.  Participants started in Vineyard Haven and walked 10 miles to Felix Neck.

Today, the event takes place entirely within the beauty of the sanctuary. The off-road adventure follows the beautiful trails, providing views and inspiration with every step.

Kids aged 8 and under will love the ½ mile Fun Run, while the all-ages 5k gives everyone the opportunity to explore at their own pace for a run or walk.

What’s more, the nature you traverse through is the very same that your participation supports. By joining Foot it for Felix, you ensure Felix Neck can continue to protect wildlife, educate the community, and conserve land.
