Programs for Groups at Broad Meadow Brook

Broad Meadow Brook Wildlife Sanctuary offers a variety of fun and educational nature-based programs for scout troops, birthdays, homeschool, and more.

Community Groups

Broad Meadow Brook offers high-quality programs for adult groups such as garden clubs, senior centers, historical centers, and many other clubs and organizations.

Explore over 400 acres of woods, fields, streams, and marsh that make up Broad Meadow Brook Wildlife Sanctuary. Look for 78 different species of butterflies, prowl for owls, or learn to snowshoe.

The lobby of the conservation center offers interpretive exhibits including a large 3-D model of the entire sanctuary and a wall-to-ceiling map of the Blackstone River watershed.

Custom Programs

We offer customized programs and presentations on a variety of natural topics:

  • Birding
  • Attracting wildlife to your yard

Birthday Parties

Looking for a place to have a fun and memorable birthday for your child? Broad Meadow Brook offers birthday party programs for children turning age 4 and up. Parties will include a 1.5-hour naturalist-led program, followed by time for gifts and refreshments.

Please call 3 weeks in advance to allow ample time for scheduling. Parties can accommodate up to 15 children. Parents of invited guests are always welcome to stay. You must be a Mass Audubon member to book a party. Please contact us for information on how to join.

Homeschool Programs

Broad Meadow Brook’s homeschool programs offer a friendly, cooperative learning environment for people of all ages. At the end of all programs, students receive follow-up information and activities so the learning can continue at home. Parents are welcome to attend with the student(s), but students may stay on their own if a medical form is on file with the wildlife sanctuary.

Attend a scheduled homeschool program at the sanctuary or contact us to create a program for your homeschool group!

Preschool Programs

Teachers can treat their preschool classroom to a Wonder Walk—a gentle exploration of nature with a naturalist—at your location or ours.
