Family Fun at Boston Nature Center

Ready for some outdoor adventure? We’ve got all kinds of fun programs and activities for you and your friends and family!

Nature Play Area

The 14,000-square-foot Nature Nook at BNC has something for everyone: gardening, building, climbing, and a shaded gathering area with benches for relaxing. Highlights include:

• an akambira (a giant xylophone)
• a jungle-like tall grass and stag horn sumac maze (complete with secret passageways)
• a stone stream-bed where children can experiment with running water, sand, and sticks
• universally accessible raised tables for digging in sand and dirt

Go on a Quest

This quest is designed to help you discover the special stories of Boston Nature Center. The length is just under a mile and takes approximately 45 minutes. You'll follow the rhyming clues to navigate and learn about this sanctuary's wildlife, habitats, and land use history.
